BackTrack is perhaps the best local band that arrived on the scene in the Lebanon Valley in a long time. The BackTrack Band is without a doubt Classic Rock at its Finest. This premier band is made up of experienced top of the line musicians who have a synergistic togetherness, with results that are tight, raw, soulful with vocal’s that are pleasant to the ear and harmonies that are right on.
Made up of seasoned veteran musicians this band goes far beyond average. Meet the band:
On drums, lead and background vocals is Gordon “Gordy” Keeney. Playing drums since age 10 and early in his career Gordy worked with a band called the “Dramistics”. He was also in “Humble Gathering” who toured the East Coast. Gordy shared the stage with these great bands: The Temptations, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Jefferson Airplane, The Magnificent Men and The chambers Brothers. Gordy is as good as any famous band drummer.
On Lead Guitar and Vocals is Denny “guru” Betz, Playing guitar since age 10, Deny also played in the “Dramistics”, well known in Lebanon, Lancaster, Berks Counties. The Dramistics played in concert with the “1910 Fruitgum Company” and “The Elephants Memory” which did the music for “The Midnight Cowboy” starring Dustin Hoffman. The “Dramistics were the last group to play the famous Hershey Ballroom where Denny autographed the dressing room wall right underneath the legendary Glen Miller. Betz also played guitar in the “Humble Gathering” known in the regional tri-state favorite band that performed in concert with Jefferson Airplane and recorded at the All Platinum Studio near New York City. He played in the bands, “Midnight Express”, “Pearl”, “Third Shift” and “American Madness”, Denny’s guitar playing will amaze you as he is as talented as many well known guitarists.
On Lead Guitar, Vocals and Harmonica is Tom Reppert. At age 15 Tom played Trumpet in the High School Band and also got his first guitar. Tom and Gordy developed a ten piece band called “The Dramistics” which had a brass section and three front-men. Tom left the Dramistics and went into the Marines where he mastered the harmonica. Fond of the blues, Tom is a very good “blues master” on the harp. Tom started a band called Redfield. Discovered by an agent from New York City, Tom auditioned for a band and got the job. Living in New Jersey and playing in recording studio’s and clubs in N.Y.C. night clubs. Returning back to Pennsylvania, Tom played in a band called C.C.West, and after 15 years Tom ran into an old friend Denny Betz and they are now a 5 piece band called BackTrack. Tom is as good as any guitarist and a super harp player.
On Bass Guitar is the newest and also the youngest member of BackTrack Nate Kruis. Nate also performs with the jamband Quagmire Swim Team and has performed in the show "The Tear Jar - A Blues Musical". Nate's solid bass playing and great talent adds the bottom end to BackTrack's unique sound.
Last but not the lea on Keyboards , Lead Vocals and Harmony, the one and only Vince Tricamo. Playing in the bands Ashley, Nite Wing, Speed Limit, Overdrive, Crossroads and Flashpoint, Vince brings sheer enthusiasm to performing and his showmanship is a delight to watch. The man with many “hats” literally and his persona of famous performers brings enjoyment to the audience and a element to BackTrack that is bar none. Vince is a natural and great on Keyboards.
Each member of BackTrack is excellent at their instrument, making them a Quality Premier Band for Parties, Dance, Weddings or Dinner shows. BackTrack is the ultimate one stop band for ALL occasions and a guaranteed good fun time.
This Band is a cut above the rest in playing GOOD ROCK and ROLL. So come hear them or hire them or them for your event.
